Gracechurch centre set to launch Sutton Fun Run 2025
The Gracechurch Centre in the heart of Sutton Coldfield will host the official launch of this year’s 42nd Royal Sutton Fun Run this Saturday 1 February.
In-person registration will be accepted from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the desk located in Bishops Court opposite the Post Office.
Online registration for this year’s Royal Sutton Fun Run happening on Sunday, 1 June, also opens this Saturday, 1 February.
Entrants who participated in last year’s event generated £302,400 for charities and voluntary organisations, a rise of £115,000 on the previous year taking the overall total to over £5.4million since the first event in 1982.
John Southall from the Gracechurch Centre said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the official launch of this year’s Royal Sutton Fun Run from 10.30am this Saturday.
“The Fun Run has been an integral part of life in Royal Sutton Coldfield since 1982 and Gracechurch Centre is thrilled to be actively involved in supporting the 42nd staging of the event on Sunday, 1 June.”
Fun Run event director, Tracey Spare said: “We’re delighted Gracechurch Centre is continuing its support of the Fun Run as our registration sponsor for 2025.
“We’re extremely grateful for its support and I know the new owners of Gracechurch Centre are already looking into additional activities for Fun Run day, to entertain those who remain in the town centre whilst family, friends and work colleagues complete the 8.5-mile course.”
Main sponsor, Cookes Furniture will be on hand with balloons and sweets, whilst new supporting sponsor, the recently refurbished Royal Cinemas, has announced its support of the event by offering the first twenty-five people to register a free, standard cinema ticket worth £9.75.
