Touchwood has announced the return of its renowned ‘Costa del Solihull’ beach to Theatre Square this summer.

From 20 July to 31 August, families can soak up the sunshine at Touchwood, with the beach open every day throughout the six-week school holiday period.

The spectacular beach opening event on 20 July will see popular kids’ character Duggee, from TV show ‘Hey Duggee’, make an appearance, with face painting for children and a DJ to kick off the summer holidays in style.

Touchwood will also run a weekly programme of free craft workshops and other activities over the course of the summer, so parents can pull up a deck chair and relax while their children have fun in the sun.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “We are so excited to announce the return of our beloved ‘Costa del Solihull’ beach for another year at Touchwood – signalling the start of a jam-packed summer holidays of events and activities for us.

“Paired with our Summer of Sport live screenings, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy – from watching the Olympic Games to building a sandcastle, and of course taking advantage of the vast array of restaurants, bars and shops at Touchwood too. We look forward to welcoming guests to join in the fun!”

Touchwood’s ‘Summer of Sport’ will also be hosted in Theatre Square, live screening the hugely anticipated 2024 Paris Olympics from 26 July to 11 August.
