West Midlands-based employment support specialists Steps To Work has announced a  partnership with Birmingham City Council for the Cost of Living Crisis Jobs Fair happening on 10 November 2023.

A jobs fair is a collaboration that will connect people who are looking for work, be that a first job, a next job, or complete change of career.

This event aims to provide an opportunity for individuals to explore job and training opportunities, network with employers, and gain valuable insights into a wide variety of sectors, as well as providing valuable support on how to navigate the cost of living crisis.

A number of organisations are already confirmed to attend ranging from, public, private and not for profit employers as well as training providers and support agencies.

The fair will be held at the STEAMHouse building in Birmingham City Centre to ensure easy access for both job seekers and employers.

Professor Paul Cadman (pictured), group chief executive officer at Steps To Work, said: “The cost of living week and jobs fair in partnership with Birmingham City Council aims to empower individuals by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and information to navigate the job market and  cope with the challenges of the cost of living crisis.

“By fostering collaboration between employers, job seekers, and experts, this event strives to create a positive impact on the local community and contribute to economic growth and development.”

“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Birmingham City Council for partnering with us and giving as the opportunity to be part of this incredible initiative.

“The cost of living crisis is a significant issue that affects many individuals and families within our communities. One way to tackle this issue is to provide more support to people and connect them with the right opportunities within the region- that is what this jobs fair aims to achieve, and I am incredibly proud that Steps To Work is part of that.”
