Employment charity launches Rise Up 2025 challenge
Sport 4 Life UK has announced the launch of Rise Up 2025, a month-long campaign set to transform the lives of young people across the West Midlands.
This initiative invites individuals, teams, and communities to take on a daily challenge – moving 2.5km each day throughout May – and to raise vital funds that support pathways into education, employment, and training for young people facing barriers.
Participants are encouraged to walk, run, cycle, or even swim 2.5km every day during May.
Together, Sport 4 Life UK are aiming to cover an inspiring 25,150 kilometres – one for every young person currently out of work, education, or training in the region.
Each kilometre completed generates £1, with a fundraising goal of £80 per participant. Every contribution directly supports essential programs that empower young people with the skills and confidence needed for a brighter future.
In addition to the challenge, Sport 4 Life UK are hosting a Sports Day. Join them on Thursday, 15 May 2025, for an energising, team-based event at Avery Fields Sports & Events, Birmingham.
Teams of up to ten can take part in a day filled with fun, games, and community spirit.
The entry fee of £100 per team not only adds to the fundraising drive but also helps build stronger, healthier, and more connected teams.
Tom Clark-Forrest, Sport 4 Life founder & CEO said: "Rise Up 2025 is more than just a campaign; it’s a movement that brings together purpose-driven individuals and organisations.
“By participating, every kilometre walked or run becomes a powerful step towards creating opportunities for young people in our community. We invite everyone to join us, share their journey, and help spread the word through social networks and community engagement."
