A dentist in Birmingham has purchased his first dental practice with support from Lloyds Bank.

Dr Nazim Dad has used a six-figure loan from Lloyds Bank to purchase Heathfield Dental Practice in Handsworth. The five-surgery practice is well-established in the area, catering for up to 5,000 patients and employing ten members of staff.

It currently provides a full range of general dental services. Dr Dad has a specialist interest in restorative dentistry and is working towards a diploma in this field. In addition, he has plans to provide more cosmetic dental services, including smile design and short-term orthodontics, to help the practice grow.

Heathfield Dental is also a foundation dentist training practice, providing mentorship for newly graduated dentists to help them develop their skills. Dr Dad holds post-graduate qualifications in dental education and is hoping to continue the educational support at the practice in the future.

Dr Nazim Dad (pictured) said: “I had been looking to purchase a site for some time and when the opportunity to purchase Heathfield Dental came about it was a perfect fit. The fact it is a training practice really stood out to me too, as I have been working in a training practice for the last thirteen years and am very passionate about supporting junior dentists as they start out their career. ”

“The Lloyds Bank team helped me to move quickly to get the deal completed and made sure everything ran smoothly. They 've been a massive help and I 'm looking forward to continuing my journey with them by my side. ”

Andy Matthews, relationship manager at Lloyds Bank, said: “Birmingham is becoming an increasingly popular area, and there is a growing demand for high-quality dental care. Nazim brings a huge amount of experience and enthusiasm, and I 've no doubt he 'll prove to be a success as owner of his own surgery.

“We 're pleased to help Nazim take his first step into practice ownership, and we will continue to help others like him realise their ambitions of business ownership in the coming months as we help Britain prosper. ”
