Date announced for Burton hotel launch

First Inn Group, operator of Holiday Inn Express Burton Upon Trent, has announced the opening dates of the new Ibis Styles Burton on Trent on Centrum 100.

It will now take place mid-August, bringing an exciting and stylish hotel to the town, located next to the existing Holiday Inn Express.

The hotel will have 80 bedrooms with a selection of standard rooms and superior rooms featuring kitchenette facilities offering options for guests who are staying for a longer period of time.

General Manager of the hotels, Alan Northern said: “This is an exciting development that we have brought to Burton in conjunction with Accor hotels.

“The hotel offers guests a slightly different experience to what they may encounter in other hotels in Burton, and we look forward to welcoming our guests, either for business or leisure purposes”

The style and theme of the hotel is that of water which led to the infamous development of the brewing industry in the local area when Bass opened their brewery in 1777.

The hotel will have bedrooms suitable for single travellers, couples, families, those staying away from home a little longer than normal, as well as having accessible bedrooms. 

There will be a bar and restaurant onsite, serving an interesting menu of mainly local dishes, including a range of pies from the Pieminister brand. There will also be an onsite mini gym for residents use.

Within the grounds there will be limited parking facilities along with charging facilities for electric vehicles.
