Council launches business engagement events for 2025

East Staffordshire Borough Council (ESBC) has announced a series of business engagement events which are free to attend.

These events provide an opportunity to meet local Councillors and learn about the support and resources which ESBC and their partners has to offer, including available grants and funding opportunities.

The events will also feature a panel of expert speakers about relevant business topics including CPD & Mental Health, as well as get the opportunity to hear from past successful grant applicants, who will be attending several of the events.

There will also be a Q&A and time for networking to help you forge new connections. All events will run from 5.30 to 7 pm.

The events are;

  • February 25 - Burton (Theme - CPD) Mulberry Bistro, BSDC, Lichfield St, DE143RL
  • April 29 - Tutbury (Theme - Mental Health & Wellbeing) Willows, 8 High St, Tutbury, DE13 9LP
  • June 24 - Burton (Theme - Corporate Social Responsibility) Café Zen, 185 High St, Burton on Trent, DE14 1HN
  • September 9 - Uttoxeter (Theme - Climate Change Support) The Globe Foundation, The Old Mill, Church St, Uttoxeter, ST14 8AG
  • October 21 - Burton (Theme - Innovation) (Location TBA)
  • December 2 - Area TBC (Theme - Motivation)

Sarah Pritchard, business development officer at East Staffordshire Borough Council said: “These events are a fantastic opportunity for our local business leaders to hear about the support ESBC and our partners are able to offer, as well as a great networking opportunity.

“We have some fantastic speakers lined up over the year, and will be hearing some fabulous success stories from businesses which ESBC has been able to directly support.

“Come along, meet new people, increase your knowledge of the support available to you and your businesses, and make some great new connections.”
