Council backs Chamber micro business award
Lichfield District Council is once again supporting an awards ceremony hosted by the Royal Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield & Tamworth and Cannock Chase Chambers of Commerce.
The council is sponsoring the Lichfield and Tamworth Micro Business of the Year award, one of 11 awards that will be handed out at The Belfry Hotel & Resort on Friday 26 January.
A micro business is defined as a company with zero to four employees.
Cllr Janice Silvester-Hall (pictured), Cabinet Member High Streets & Visitor Economy at Lichfield District Council, said: “Lichfield District Council are delighted to continue our sponsorship of the SLTC Awards and especially the Lichfield and Tamworth Micro Business of the Year.
“Whilst the word micro implies small, the collective significance of these businesses is huge.
“The benefits micro businesses bring to the economy of Lichfield District, as well as the communities therein, is much valued and I trust these awards serve as possible inspiration for others considering taking that leap.”
Headline sponsors of the SLTC Awards are Amazon and South Staffordshire College.
