UKGI Group, which consists of Chamber patron Adler Fairways has announced an array of key appointments to its leadership team.

Anthony Adler (pictured), formerly Broking CEO at Adler Fairways, has transitioned into the newly formed position of group chief executive.

Anthony will have oversight cross Group, working closely with the new Broking CEO, Paul Goodman and Consultancy CEO, Richard McKenzie to ensure the businesses continue to thrive.

Anthony was appointed as a Director of Adler Insurance Brokers in January 2004 when the decision was made to set up a dedicated broking business, separating it from Adler Insurance Services (established in 1982).

In 2015, Anthony led a management buyout of Adler Insurance Brokers, restructured the business and created a management team to help deliver his vision.

Following the MBO, Adler Insurance went on to acquire Ellerton Knight, Cross and Co, and the broking division of Corrigan’s, further expanding their established Midlands footprint. Following this, in 2020, Adler Insurance Brokers joined UKGI Group and rebranded to Adler Fairways.

With a strong technical background gained as an underwriter with RSA and a wealth of experience acquired in the intervening years in the world of broking, Anthony has leveraged his knowledge and expertise to strategically elevate Adler Fairways to a UK top 10 Independent Chartered Insurance Broker with Gross Written Premiums of £60m.

Joining Adler Fairways as their new Broking CEO is Paul Goodman.

Paul brings with him a vast array of experience and knowledge acquired throughout his 39 years within the insurance industry. The early part of Paul’s career was spent working with international brokers JLT, Alexander Forbes and Marsh, focusing on business development and risk management/insurance propositions for UK based corporate entities.

After a period of 16 years, Paul progressed to managing the Corporate/Commercial Team within the largest office of Oval Insurance before moving to the City with Bluefin Insurance, as branch director of the Commercial Team.

He later went on to rejoin JLT back in the South of England to support the development of the Southern Region and following the acquisition by Marsh, moved to the role of Managing director of Finch Insurance. During his tenure, Finch grew organically and via acquisition, with their footprint increasing to nine offices and over 170 colleagues.

To further strengthen its leadership team, UKGI Group has also announced that Neil Thomsett will be stepping into the new position of chief operating officer across the Group, overseeing HR, Finance, Compliance and Marketing functions.

Neil has been with Adler Fairways since 2012, overseeing business strategy, internal infrastructure and heading up the Group Resources team. Neil has been instrumental in supporting Anthony and the wider leadership team to achieve their growth plans, helping Adler Fairways to secure and integrate several acquisitions within the last two years.

The growth of Adler Fairways has been both organic and acquisitional with the successful completion of nine businesses since June 2022. This has seen Adler Fairways expand its footprint to 13 offices throughout the UK and employing over 135 people.

UKGI Group said in a statement: “We are committed to shaping the future of our industry, delivering better outcomes for clients, and nurturing the next generation of talent.

“Driving this agenda and ensuring it continues to succeed with its ambitions is an experienced and enthusiastic leadership team and the breadth of talented professionals who work across the Group.

“UKGI Group is confident that as it begins the next phase of its journey, the right team is in place to propel the Group forward and deliver upon its exciting future aims and aspirations.”

Employing 216 people, UKGI Group consists of Adler Fairways, Farm & General, and Intelligent Real Estate Due Diligence (IREDD) in its Broking sector, and UKGI Ltd, Insurance Compliance Services (ICS), UKGI Learning Solutions and Searchlight Solutions in its Consultancy sector.
