Legionella and Fire Safe Services, a specialist in water hygiene, fire safety, and social housing regeneration services, has announced the promotion of operations director Danielle Bayliss to managing director.

Current managing director Steve Morris will be handing over the reins to focus on driving the commercial growth of the business.

Danielle, who co-founded the business in 2017, brings a unique perspective to the role, having transitioned from journalism to construction, following in her father's footsteps.

Her appointment underscores the company's commitment to progressive leadership and diversity in the construction industry.

Danielle said: “Since co-founding the business with Steve Morris, Steve Broughton and Caroline Bigg in 2017, I've been passionate about building a company that prioritises people, compliance, and exceptional service.

“As a young director and a woman in the construction industry, I know the importance of challenging stereotypes and leading by example.”

Steve Morris said: “Danielle’s ambition is truly admirable; she continuously pushes the business forward, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed our goals.

“Her ability to lead, support, and motivate her colleagues is a testament to her character, and she has played a pivotal role in shaping the culture of the company.

“The success of Legionella and Fire Safe Services is predominately down to Danielle’s relentless drive and passion for what we do.”

Bayliss's career journey includes positions at the likes of Rentokil Initial, Interserve, and Hertel, where she developed extensive industry expertise before co-founding Legionella and Fire Safe Services.

Under her operational leadership, the company has grown to serve over 300 clients nationwide.
