Commercial property agency selected to market former council offices
Commercial property agency Siddall Jones has been appointed to market the former Dudley Council offices in Ednam Road.
Space from 801 sq ft to a total of 22,193 sq ft is available to let in the prime town centre offices, or the building is for sale at £1.4 million.
Ed Siddall Jones (pictured), managing director of Siddall Jones, said: “We were very pleased to have been selected by Dudley Council to market this significant property in a prominent position.
“We anticipate significant interest from developers looking at residential conversation under permitted development, and we are also targeting the care and educational sector as there is similar potential here.”
The news comes after Siddall Jones was also appointed to the panel for Birmingham City Council’s property disposals and was named the West Midlands’ top dealmaker in the third quarter of 2024 in the national EG Radius rankings.
Mr Siddall Jones said the Ednam Road property could be suitable for a variety of uses, subject to planning permission and provided open floor plates arranged over four storeys, plus a basement.
“Ednam Road provides the option to move in immediately and take the whole building as a major office provision in the town, or it could be repurposed,” he said.
The detached building is situated on Ednam Road at its junction with Priory Road in the heart of Dudley town centre, giving direct access to the centre, Dudley Learning Quarter and Priory Park.
It will benefit from the Midlands Metro extension, and the new Metro tramline under construction will link Dudley to Wolverhampton and Birmingham, significantly enhancing public transport options and accessibility when completed.
Options include the lower ground floor space at 801 sq ft, ground floor of 5,115 sq ft, first and second floors of 5,651 sq ft each, and a third floor of 4,974 sq ft.
