College trampolinist competes in schools competition
A talented trampolinist at Solihull Sixth Form College has won an award from the Principal in recognition of her extra-curricular achievements.
Kaitlyn Quinn, currently in Year 12 studying A level English Literature, History and Media Studies, competed in the West Midlands School Trampolining Competition, where she placed fourth. Representing Altair Trampolining Club, Kaitlyn’s success meant she earned a place at the Zonal Schools competition.
The former Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst learner commented: "I started trampolining in April 2022 after I competed in a competition for my secondary school and I enjoyed it; a close friend of mine was part of the trampolining Club and suggested I joined.
Trampolining started as something to do after I quit dance and wanted a hobby and then my coach had said I could do well at it so I started doing it competitively and now I'm just seeing where it takes me and what doors it opens for me."
Kaitlyn is juggling her trampoline training with her studies and has ambitions to progress to university after she finishes her A levels.
