College makes top 100 employers for inclusivity

Solihull Sixth Form College is celebrating being named in the Top 100 Most Inclusive UK Employers Index for 2024, with a ranking of 78.

 The College has been accredited with the Investor in Diversity award since 2017 following a series of assessments by the National Centre for Diversity, carried out every two years. The last assessment in 2023 praised the College's "positive and inclusive culture" and noted there is "a positive environment for wellbeing and good mental health".

 Anisa Lokat-Fanning, associate assistant principal, who leads Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Solihull Sixth Form College, commented: "I'm proud of this achievement. The College has worked hard as a community to create an inclusive environment for our young people and staff members alike it's gratifying to see that this has been recognised once again by the National Centre for Diversity."

 The National Centre for Diversity's assessment looks at the FREDIE journey that businesses go on, which considers how firms address Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement.
