Coachathon launched to raise vital funds for African women’s charity
CAPE Coaching and Development will be a part of an international Coachathon on Wednesday, 9 October where they will raise funds for African charity MicroLoan Foundation.
The Coachathon is a 24-hour, global coaching extravaganza where hundreds of coaches are offering 45-minute sessions for a £50 donation.
Every coaching session will provide a start-up loan to one woman in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. With each donation, a woman will be able to build her own business to provide food, clothes, healthcare and education for children.
In return for a minimum donation of £50, participants will receive 45 minutes of impactful thinking space on a challenge or opportunity.
Visit the Coachathon website to sign up and support personal development with coaching at a fraction of the normal cost, whilst supporting someone with a wonderful opportunity to build their own business.
Lynsey Kitching, co-founder and director of CAPE Coaching and Development said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to try coaching if you haven't before and donate to a charity that really helps give women a 'hand up' rather than a 'handout'.
“Coaching is often mixed up with mentoring or therapy where it's quite different. And the best way to see the value is to take part in some coaching yourself.”
Co-founder Naomi Regan (pictured) said: “It's also a great way to make coaching accessible to people in your team at a reduced cost.
“We often hear from our clients that they wish they could support their team with their career development more but often don't have the time.
“You could offer your team the chance to book a coaching session on 9 October to do just that whist also supporting The MicroLoan Foundation.”
