Cloud and cybersecurity provider eyes expansion following major contract wins
Multi-award-winning sovereign cloud and cybersecurity services provider, METCLOUD, is expanding its presence in Birmingham - with plans to create up to 100 jobs.
The business’ growth drive follows a series of major contract and partnership wins.
METCLOUD, which takes up the entire fifth floor of Lyndon House, Birmingham is creating up to 100 skilled roles in cybersecurity.
The expansion will enable the business to increase its presence in key sectors, including defence, critical national infrastructure, Government, health, finance and insurance.
The software and services company’s expansion has been enabled by a number of recent contract successes, including being selected to provide cybersecurity services to specialist defence manufacturing firm, NMS UK.
The international manufacturer invested in a new facility in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire which will focus on manufacturing protected patrol vehicles for the UK defence industry and for international export.
METCLOUD’S secure sovereign cloud solutions will support NMS UK’s compliance with stringent defence industry regulations.
METCLOUD is also empowering businesses in the fight against cybercrime through the formation of a number of partnerships with complementary cybersecurity providers, including Birmingham headquartered CyberQ Group.
The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) – the region’s official investment promotion agency – supported METCLOUD’s expansion by providing dedicated sector-focused consultancy and PR support, to help the business raise its profile in the local marketplace.
Ian Vickers, CEO at METCLOUD, said: "Our expansion reflects our continued growth nationally and our unwavering commitment to Birmingham and the West Midlands.
“The tech sector is worth £15.3bn to the regional economy, with 144,000 people working in tech roles.”
