The Crowne Plaza hotel in Birmingham city centre has completed its £8 million refurbishment.

The ambitious project to update all 312 guest rooms in the IHG hotel began in February 2024 and concluded in December 2024.

The refurbishment includes a choice of standard and deluxe accommodation alongside exclusive club rooms and two suites.

Additionally, accessibility options have been upgraded with two fully accessible wet rooms, ensuring an inclusive and welcoming experience for all guests.

This final phase of the refurbishment follows the successful transformation of its ground floor lobby and bar areas in the autumn of 2022.

Siobhan Thomasson, general manager of Crowne Plaza Birmingham city centre, said: “After listening to our guests and their feedback we’ve created rooms that are not only stylish and comfortable but also highly functional.

“With more sockets, digital cable ports, enhanced desk space and stylish colour palettes, our new Crowne Plaza Worklife bedrooms boast a modern, contemporary feel.

“Our thanks go to hotel refurbishment specialists County Contractors for their work on Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre as guest feedback for the new rooms has been fantastic.”
