Charity opens new Tamworth store

YMCA Burton has opened a new shop in Tamworth town centre.

The George Street store received a grand opening from the mayor of Tamworth, Cllr Moira Greatorex.

It offers a range of new and used furniture items, white goods and homeware with the aim of helping people turn their house into a home for less whilst also ensuring unwanted items are being recycled into use and not going to landfill.

Last year, the charity moved more than 5,000 pieces of furniture.

Operations manager at YMCA Burton, Andy Horsnail, said: “We have enjoyed stocking the new shop with lots of amazing products and look forward to the grand opening this week.

“We pride ourselves on being able to offer quality used products at bargain prices, especially during the cost-of-living crisis at the moment, it is needed now more than ever. ”
