As part of Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month, Ovacome, a charity dedicated to ovarian cancer, is organising a free community walk to raise awareness and funds.

The event will take place on Saturday, 28 September, at Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham.

This walk will mark the culmination of their awareness campaign, providing an opportunity for those affected by ovarian cancer to come together and raise vital funds that support Ovacome’s crucial work.

Attendees can walk 2km, 5km or 10km. There will also be a tombola, refreshments, Ovacome merchandise and raffle tickets for sale and the opportunity to network.

The charity is also urging attendees and supporters to fundraise, in a bid to reach their target of £97,000.

An Ovacome t shirt and wristband will be given to a £100 fundraising commitment while anyone who raises £250 will be entered into a prize draw to win an afternoon tea for two.
