Chamber workshop launched to help business strengthen environmental credentials

Workshop

An upcoming workshop organised by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) will offer SMEs valuable insights on leveraging environmental credentials to gain a competitive advantage in contract bids.

The ‘Environmental accreditations for tendering – Using net zero to win new contracts,’ workshop will equip East Birmingham and North Solihull businesses with strategies to highlight sustainability practices in tendering, now a key factor for buyers. It will take place on Tuesday, 12 November from 10am to 2pm at Chamber HQ.

The workshop is part of the Get Ready 2 Supply programme, which builds on ongoing work to enable more small and medium-sized local businesses and social enterprises to access key procurement opportunities with members of the Birmingham Anchor Network and other large local businesses.

The programme is joint funded by both Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and will directly connect East Birmingham and North Solihull businesses to customers and contracts. It is delivered by GBCC and Newable Ltd.

Through the programme, eligible businesses can access one-on-one support with seasoned business advisors and apply for grants of up to £8,000 (terms apply).
