A charity cricket match featuring a team from Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce is taking place next month, in support of a cancer support charity.

Royal Sutton Coldfield Chamber president Naeem Arif is leading the Chamber team who will face a Sutton Coldfield Cricket Club XI on Sunday 4 August.

The charity cricket match and family fun day, at Rectory Park, Sutton Coldfield, will raise funds for the Cancer Support Centre, the chosen charity of the Royal Sutton Coldfield Chamber.

As well as the cricket game, spectators can enjoy a BBQ, bar, a live DJ and other family activities.

The Cancer Support Centre, based in Lindridge Road, Sutton Coldfield, supports people in the West Midlands who are affected by cancer.

Naeem said: “We are really excited about this summer social event for members to bring along their families and enjoy.

“The cricket club is at the heart of the community and great location for people to get together.

“As our chosen charity, Cancer Support Centre does great work in the community and a number of the cricket club members, who have their own cancer stories, are keen to support them.”

Among the players lining up for the Chamber team are head of media and communications Dan Harrison, Press & PR executive Feron Jayawardene and policy advisor Kuran Singh.
