Chamber members join forces to deliver team-building session
New Chamber member Endecay Professional Development have teamed up with CUDOS Creative to deliver a “deep-dive” team building session based around the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
The workshop encourages team members to understand each other's preferences in how we work, approach decision-making, and react to the environment and people around us.
MBTI is based upon Karl Jung’s groundbreaking psychology work on preference and is the world’s most widely used psychometric.
It is a powerful development tool that grants a high degree of agency to the participants - but so many MBTI sessions merely scratch the surface.
All too often participants walk away with a four-letter type but limited idea of what that really means.
The CUDOS Creative session followed a prior discovery session and dug into applications of problem solving and personal stress management.
Kate Curry, creative director at CUDOS Creative, said: “We regularly make time for professional development at CUDOS Creative.
“Endecay’s workshop was fascinating and very personalised to us as a group, giving us all a far deeper awareness of ourselves and each other.
“We will absolutely be taking learnings from the workshop and applying them to our processes and everyday work life so we can be a more empathetic, efficient and productive team of connected individuals - which ultimately benefits our clients, too.”
CUDOS Creative was also enlisted to craft a new brand identity for Endecay, which they say allowed them to launch with confidence and attract businesses that value meaningful professional development training.
Kate added: “Experiencing Neil's workshops absolutely helped us shape his visual identity - we wanted to graphically represent the ‘joining-of-the-dots’ as we get that deeper understanding and self-awareness, delivered in a modern and vibrant styling that was very much representative of Neil's distinctive workshop style.”
Neil Kearsley, CEO of Endecay Professional Development, said: “To hear that the MBTI insights have been so valuable to the CUDOS Creative team is really pleasing.
“I have a real passion for helping people understand themselves and their work better.
“Nothing is better than when the penny drops for clients and I love those moments.
“’Connecting the dots’ really does visually define my business so well and the branding that CUDOS Creative have developed is absolutely excellent.
“I started my business back in August to provide personal and professional development, including psychometrics and leadership development following a 20+ year career within the civil service. I have built up a lot of credibility within government in development consultant roles and expertise with a wide range of personality psychometrics, but it’s so hard to translate that into the private sector.
“Sessions like this go a long way to doing that and I’d love to hear from any business that agrees with me that investing in your people is essential.”
