Chamber launches essential resources to boost business growth

A new toolkit featuring essential resources to help businesses thrive in today’s competitive landscape has been launched by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

The Business Growth Studio provides Chamber members with access to a dedicated programme of workshops, a wealth of digital resources and a high impact conference all designed to aid small businesses through different stages of their journey.

Free to all GBCC members, the Studio brings together expert insights, tools and support from across the Chamber network.

Resources and material will cover six key pillars of business growth:

  • Growth Foundations – strategy, finance, marketing and operations
  • Growth Through People – leadership and people management
  • Sustainable Growth – environmental and social impact
  • Innovation for Growth – improve, adapt and create
  • Tech for Growth – tech, AI, cyber security and digital transformation
  • Global Growth – international trade, exporting and growing globally

The Business Growth Studio was revealed yesterday during the GBCC’s Business Commission West Midlands: One Year On event at John Cadbury House in Birmingham city centre.

Henrietta Brealey, CEO of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, said: “The Business Growth Studio is all about providing the essential tools to thrive in today’s competitive landscape.

“It is packed full of practical, hands-on workshops, advice and peer insights aimed at small businesses.

“We know it’s a pretty tough environment out there for many organisations. But we also know there are still plenty of small businesses with huge potential to grow – and we’re here to help connect our members to the right advice, and peers, at the right time to support that journey.

“Thanks to the support of our partners, The Business Growth Studio is completely free for Chamber members.

“From advice on AI Agents from a former Dragon’s Den investor, to insights from leading local advisors on everything from strategies for thriving under pressure to attracting and selecting the right talent, there’s a whole lot to discover.

“I’d like to particularly thank our Chamber Council, Chamber members elected to steer the GBCC’s policy and campaigns activity, whose insights have shaped The Business Growth Studio.”

Key themes and topics featured in the Studio will be covered in depth during the inaugural Business Growth Studio Conference – an exclusive, all-day event for SME business leaders.

The conference will take place on Wednesday 1 October at Edgbaston Stadium, alongside the Greater Birmingham Business Expo.

Henrietta added: “The Business Growth Studio Conference will be packed full of insight, inspiration, and practical strategies to drive business growth.

“It will bring together top entrepreneurs, policy makers, and industry experts to help delegates navigate today’s challenges and seize tomorrow’s opportunities.

“It will be co-located with our annual Greater Birmingham Business Expo, making this one unmissable day of business insight and networking.”
