Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s next Good Business Forum event will be taking place on Tuesday, 9 July at their offices at 54 Hagley Road.

From climate change to new regulations and attracting and retaining a new, more socially minded generation of employees - recent events have brought exploring and articulating businesses’ wider role in society up many board and executive agendas.

This quarterly forum for GBCC members explores how businesses are tackling this subject and why.

Each event brings together a business case study, a professional advisor and a representative from the public or third sector sharing their insights and perspectives before a series of roundtable discussions.

Speakers include Soffia Marlin, operations director at EIB, Dr Jamie Elliot, delivery manager-business programmes at the West Midlands Combined Authority, and Chris Lawrence (pictured), vice president UKI head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Deutsche Bank.

Soffia Marlin will be speaking about measuring social value, Dr Jamie Elliot will be discussing what free support is out there that can help businesses make the transition to net zero, and Chris Lawrence will be dissecting the case study of how Deutsche Bank are approaching this agenda.
