Football fans in Birmingham were treated to an unforgettable evening as they gathered to watch England’s second UEFA Euro 2024 match alongside former England legend Terry Butcher.

The ex-England, Ipswich Town and Rangers defender joined Three Lions supporters at law firm Shakespeare Martineau’s Birmingham hub in Colmore Row, where they watched Gareth Southgate’s team take on Denmark on high-definition screens.

Butcher – who earned 77 caps and played in three FIFA World Cups – shared expert half-time analysis and post-match reactions with the crowd, led by partner and head of corporate Michael Stace. After the final whistle, attendees had the unique opportunity to meet Butcher.

James Woolstenhulme, head of Shakespeare Martineau’s Birmingham hub, said: “We are proud to have brought the Birmingham business community together to celebrate their love for football and cheer on England.

“The evening was made even more special by the presence of Terry Butcher, whose expert insights and engaging commentary added a unique touch to our shared experience.”
