Midlands-based accounting and advisory firm PKF Smith Cooper starts the new year off strong, welcoming new transaction services director Thomas Sinden (pictured) to their Birmingham team.

Thomas specialises in the provision of financial due diligence, with over eight years of specialist M&A Transaction Services experience.

Over his career to date, he has supported a wide range of clients, from individuals and PE houses to listed corporates, with their due diligence (buy-side, sell-side and refinancing) requirements.

Thomas also specialises in the provision of vendor assistance services for those looking to exit their investments.

He joins the firm from RSM UK and has previous experience working at a big four firm for over three years.

Thomas brings broad experience from working in an array of sectors to PKF Smith Cooper, from manufacturing, engineering and distribution to consumer, sports and professional services sectors.

PKF Smith Cooper achieved a place in the final for the Due Diligence Team of the Year award at the East Midlands Rainmakers last year and continues to grow and strengthen their dealmaking team going into 2025.

On joining the firm, Thomas said: “I am thrilled to join PKF Smith Cooper, particularly at such an exciting time as it pursues its ambitious growth plans. I’m eager to contribute to building and expanding the firm’s transaction services offering, working alongside a talented team to deliver exceptional service and drive continued success.”

David Nelson, senior partner at PKF Smith Cooper, said: “We are delighted to be starting off the new year by expanding our transaction services offering across the Midlands. I look forward to welcoming Thomas and his specialist expertise to the firm, which will be invaluable to our team and our clients.”
