Burton Chamber launches live music night to raise funds for YMCA
The Burton and District Chamber of Commerce has launched a live music night in a bid to raise vital funds for its chosen charity, YMCA Burton.
The evening will take place on Thursday, 15 May at Tower Brewery, Burton on Trent and will feature three local bands performing live rock, pop and indie music.
All proceeds of the event will be given to YMCA Burton to support the vital work they do in the community.
YMCA Burton provides vital support services for those at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping plus a range of other services including supported housing, foodbank, family mediation, counselling and affordable furniture and housing items across three local shops.
Paula Senior, fundraising & partnerships manager at YMCA Burton said: “YMCA Burton was honoured to be chosen as the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, charity of the year.
“As our year comes to an end, we are partnering with The Chamber to bring YMCA Rocks to Tower Brewery, the unique venue which recently hosted King Charles.
“This event will help us to raise awareness for the work we do to change lives and the impact we have in our community.
“Each ticket will support income generation towards our vital work and it will be a fantastic evening of live music too.”
Richard Brooks, Head of Burton Chamber said “I am delighted to support YMCA Burton our Chamber Charity of the year’s music night at Tower Brewery, and hope to see as many members of the chamber, as well as friends and people from Burton as possible. Get your tickets as soon as possible for they won’t last long, YMCA Rocks!“
