Burton Celebratory Lunch’s President’s Award gains sponsor support

A Burton based solicitor’s firm with a rich history dating back to 1982 has been confirmed as the President’s Award sponsor at the Burton Celebratory lunch, taking place on 20 November at the Pirelli Stadium.

Astle Paterson will be the sponsoring the award, which will be handed out by President Richard Wileman to an individual who has gone above and beyond in championing the region.

Over the years, the firm originally named as Bakewells, has gained a reputation as a leading practice in family law, under the guidance of Martin Astle and Jean Paterson, who built up a strong commercial team. Martin Astle sadly passed away on 2022.

In 1996, Bakewells moved to Horninglow Street, Burton on Trent. The firm continued to thrive and became a leading law firm in the area. On 1 June 2007, Bakewells Solicitors officially changed its name to Astle Paterson Ltd.

In 2012, Astle Paterson merged with OMW Solicitors, and in 2017 merged with Smith Woodcock Solicitors. On 1st April 2022, Astle Paterson merged with Samble Burton & Worth Solicitors, cementing its place as one of the most respected and successful law firms in the region.

Today, Astle Paterson is a leading full-service law firm with a team of expert solicitors who specialise in a wide range of areas, including family law, commercial law, property law, wills & probate and dispute resolution.
