Branding agency wins three awards for rebrand of Digbeth creative content hub
Birmingham-based branding agency Common Curiosity have picked up a gold and bronze Kinsale Shark Award and a silver Brand Impact Award for their comprehensive brand identity for The Bond in Digbeth.
The Bond is a new creative content hub for the Midlands — an outstanding contemporary urban space, skilfully reimagined by Oval Real Estate from a landmark industrial building in Digbeth — with a new focus on TV, film, media and tech.
The brand identity, created by Digbeth-based Common Curiosity is born from both the iconic architecture and its new purpose as a content hub.
It tells the story of one of Digbeth’s landmark industrial developments. Alongside the brand identity Common Curiosity also created a host of deliverables including brochures, website, signage, wayfinding scheme and a launch film.
Now in its 62nd year, The Shark Awards is one of the longest-running creative festivals in the world, recognising the best in advertising, design and film.
The Brand Impact Awards is a highly respected international awards scheme that celebrates creative excellence in branding. This year saw a record 232 entries in its 10th year with only a third of these entries going on to collect an award.
Brand Impact award judge Louise Kyme, said of the project: “This bold, punchy identity is carried across all applications in a focused but adaptable manner.”
