Botanical Garden launches tree appeal to raise funds for maintenance programme
The Birmingham Botanical Garden has launched a tree appeal to raise £13,850 to continue maintenance throughout all seasons.
The appeal has so far reached £8,500 and will be used for essential tree surveying and saving a 200-year-old copper beech tree.
With over 500 trees at the Gardens, the garden’s unique collection of trees provide an amazing landscape and prove vital the environment, wildlife, and life.
These vital funds will help us to transform BBG’s tree care, health, and maintenance programme, ensuring we can protect and maintain strong, healthy trees throughout the seasons.
The garden also received a grant of nearly £25,000 from The Community Environment Fund by West Midlands Combined Authority.
This support enables them to partner with local groups to explore local climate change adaption, and work with local community groups and GPS-tag trees to inform local planting, conservation and community plans.
