Birmingham Canalathon returns for 2024
The Birmingham Canal and River trust will be relaunching their virtual fundraiser, encouraging people to protect and support the vital canal network in the city.
Participants are encouraged to walk or run 26.2 miles during the month of June to raise vital funds to protect and care for 2,000 miles of waterways.
The first 200 people to sign up to Canalathon, will receive a free branded water bottle and shoelaces when the first donation appears on the Just Giving page.
A free, branded running vest will be given to participants, once they cross the £100 milestone.
Speaking about the Canalathon, business and corporate engagement partner Terry Hodgetts said: “Canalathon is a great way of supporting your local canals either as a team or individually and help our charity to maintain these canals for the local community to enjoy.”
