Multi-talented Fay Goodman (pictured) is a director, producer, composer and martial artist. Her mantra as a woman in business is simple – never give up and believe in yourself.
What inspired your career or business journey?
The desire to be creative and share new ideas, stories and make a difference globally!
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a woman in business and how did you overcome it?
Trying to secure funding for a project I really believe in to safeguard women and children.
Funding was elusive to other more mainstream construction projects.
Eventually I succeeded by working in partnership and never giving up!
What’s one key piece of advice for women looking to succeed in your industry?
Never give up! Believe in yourself and smile every day!
How has gender equality in business changed and what still needs to improve?
Gender equality is getting much better but still a long way to go!
How has being part of GBCC supported your business or career?
It has been helpful meeting other business people, sharing experiences and working in partnership for greater success.
