The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen has announced the launch of a publicly accessible bleed kit in collaboration with the Arrive Alive charity, providing a lifesaving resource within the local community.

The introduction of this bleed kit marks a significant milestone for the area, as it is the first publicly accessible kit available to the general public.

Arrive Alive is the UK’s only registered charity of its kind, supporting West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Arrive Alive is solely funded by public donations and is dedicated to funding voluntary operated 999 vehicles and equipment for medically trained volunteers.

Located in a specially designed cabinet at The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen, the kit is easily accessible to all individuals.

In line with their commitment to preparedness, training sessions were conducted in July.

These sessions were open to both the local community and customers of The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen, ensuring that individuals are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to effectively use the bleed kit in an emergency situation.

The owners of The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen said: “With the collaboration of Arrive Alive and The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen, the bleed kit has been made possible. We are excited to work together in ensuring the availability of lifesaving resources in our community. Installing a publicly accessible bleed kit is something I have personally wanted to make happen for the local community and am proud to of funded.”

The motivation behind the launch of this initiative stems from the absence of a bleed kit in the immediate vicinity of The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen.

Recognising the importance of immediate medical assistance in critical situations, we took it upon ourselves to address this gap and provide a valuable resource that can potentially save lives.

The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen is committed to the safety and wellbeing of the general public, local communities, and customers.

The introduction of a publicly accessible bleed kit is a testament to their dedication in ensuring the availability of lifesaving resources within the community. They believe that this initiative will contribute significantly to the overall safety and preparedness of individuals in emergency situations.

Debbie Roscoe, founder of Arrive Alive, said: “The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen is a community based micro bar with a big drive to do good within the local community. Graham has been instrumental in ensuring the bleed kit was installed. The Shell-Ter Micro Bar Halesowen are supporters of Arrive Alive and I look forward to continuing to our partnership.”
