Bands announced for Chamber’s charity live music night
The bands have been announced for the upcoming live music night in support of YMCA Burton, organised by Burton and District Chamber of Commerce.
Taking place on 15 May 2025 at Tower Brewery in Burton upon Trent, 'YMCA Rocks!' will feature three dynamic bands in a music fundraiser to support YMCA Burton.
All proceeds of the event will be given to YMCA Burton to support the vital work they do in the community.
YMCA Burton is dedicated to providing a supportive and safe environment for individuals experiencing homelessness in East Staffordshire. Operating three housing sites with 71 rooms, they offer not only accommodation but also practical and emotional support to help residents develop essential life skills.
Beyond housing, YMCA Burton manages furniture shops selling affordable household items, runs a food bank, and offers various volunteering opportunities, all aimed at fostering community development and individual empowerment.

The featured bands are:
Kitten Pyramid
Hailing from Burton upon Trent, Kitten Pyramid is known for their eclectic blend of progressive and psychedelic rock. Their latest album, KIDDO, released under Flip Flop Records, has garnered critical acclaim, including a four star review from Classic Rock magazine. The accompanying short film premiered on YouTube's horror channel Alter, amassing over 100,000 views and being featured in festivals worldwide.
Ribbons for Rose
This West Midlands-based alternative rock trio, comprising Oz Brooks, Lauren Roberts, and Jake Humphries, met at Birmingham Ormiston Academy. Despite their youth, (18) they've made waves in the local music scene, notably maintaining a record-breaking presence in the Burton Radio top 20 chart for over 20 weeks. Their energetic performances feature a mix of rock, punk, grunge classics, and compelling originals, including their standout single 'Burn That House Down'."
Dirty Bomb
A six-piece ensemble from Burton upon Trent, Dirty Bomb delivers an infectious mix of ska, indie, rock, and pop. Known for their lively performances, they've become a sought-after act for weddings, private parties, and various events. Their recent single launch party at Tower Brewery underscores their strong local following and commitment to engaging live shows.
Richard Brooks, head of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, said: “I can’t believe we’ve got these three bands for night, that’s some real local talent and some real positive energy from the lineup.
"It’s going to be a unique mix of music, and no doubt will turn into a real party! We are honoured to be partnering up with YMCA Burton for this event, and alongside another of our members, the venue, Tower Brewery!”
