Awards galore for Hoar Cross Hall Hotel at regional tourism awards

The Haor Cross Hall Hotel and Spa, based in Buton on Trent, has received multiple accolades during the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards.

The hotel was awarded Gold in the Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism Award, recognising its commitment to eco-friendly practices and responsible tourism.

Hoar Cross Hall also took home Silver in the Large Hotel of the Year category, a testament to its hospitality, accommodation, and impeccable service.

The event held at the Doubletree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent, brought together industry leaders for an evening of recognition and celebration, with winners announced across 20 categories.

Meanwhile, the Serenity Spa Stay experience also earned a Bronze for Experience of the Year, highlighting its exceptional wellness offerings and tranquil retreats.

Located in the village of Ellastone, Walnut House at The Duncombe Arms was named Gold winner for Small Serviced Accommodation of the Year.

The Duncombe Arms, already renowned as one of Staffordshire’s finest gastropubs, added another accolade to its name with a Silver award for Pub of the Year.

Recognised for its outstanding atmosphere, quality cuisine, and exceptional service, the award reinforces its reputation as a must-visit venue for food and drink enthusiasts.

A spokesperson from the Council said: “It’s brilliant to see that so many East Staffordshire businesses have been successful at this year’s awards and it only further demonstrates the wealthy of high quality assets we have for visitors here in East Staffordshire.

“All of the winners should be extremely proud of themselves and their incredible achievement.”

Winners from 14 categories will now represent Staffordshire at the national Visit England Awards for Excellence, set to take place at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on 4 June.
