Autumn highlights at Select Car East Midlands: A season of growth and giving back

1. New name, expanded coverage: Introducing Select Car East Midlands

You may have noticed something different about us recently!

After being proudly known as Select Car Burton Upon Trent for years, we’ve officially changed our name to Select Car East Midlands.

Why the change? It’s simple – our coverage goes far beyond Burton Upon Trent, extending across the Midlands, including Birmingham, Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester.

This rebranding reflects our commitment to serving clients across the region with the same dedication to providing top-notch car and van leasing deals, expert advice, and unbeatable customer service.

2. Sleeping under the stars for a good cause: YMCA Sleepout

On October 25, our very own Richard Wileman swapped his warm bed for a cardboard box at the YMCA Sleepout event held at Burton Albion Pirelli Stadium. This was Richard’s second year participating - can you believe he came back for more?

Despite the chilly weather, over 110 participants came together to raise funds and awareness for YMCA Burton, a charity dedicated to helping the homeless in our community. From providing emergency bed spaces to running food banks and family mediation services, the YMCA does incredible work to support those in need.

Richard shared: “Somehow fitting into the box at 11 PM and then getting out at 5:30 AM proved not the best night’s sleep, but well worth it for the cause.”

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve raised £1,050 so far, which will go directly to support the vital services YMCA Burton provides. There’s still time to donate if you’d like to support this fantastic cause.

3. Teeing off for charity: Our golf day success

In addition to the Sleepout, we hosted a charity golf day at the prestigious Notts Golf Club to support YMCA Burton.

The event brought together our partners and friends, including companies like Crown Highways Limited, NTG Road UK Ltd., and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, for a day of friendly competition and networking.

The golf day was not just about having fun on the greens; it was about making a meaningful impact. The funds raised from this event will go towards helping YMCA Burton continue their incredible work within the community.
