Asian business Chamber launches programme to help business raise investment
The Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) has launched its first finance readiness programme to equip pre-start-up, start-ups and established businesses wanting to level up on how to raise funds and investments.
The programme, delivered in partnership with Business Growth West Midlands Investment Readiness, and Oxford Innovation falls under the backdrop where nearly one in two Asian entrepreneurs give up on their business idea due to being unable to raise funding.
To be eligible, businesses should be a member of ABCC based or registered in Birmingham or Solihull. An investment day will also be held at the closing day of the programme to pitch ideas to investors.
The programme's first event took place at Chamber HQ, where attendees were introduced to its content, key deliverables, and given an overview of the opportunities to pitch to investors.
ABCC President Omar Rashid (pictured) said: “I am absolutely thrilled for the ABCC bring such an opportunity to the table, not just for Asian businesses but anyone who is looking for that opportunity to kick start their entrepreneurial journey.”
The next event will take place in March. Contact a.khan@birmingham-chamber.com for more information
