Burton based affordable housing provider Trent & Dove has been crowned Best Large Social Housing Development for the West Midlands region in the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards 2023.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards are the largest business-to-business awards in the building control sector within the UK. Their network covers all local authorities and is divided into 12 regional areas across England and Wales.

The final awards ceremony, where the grand finalists in each category will be announced, will take place on Friday 19 January at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.

The regional winner of the awards was Forest Heights which was built by award-winning property developer Peveril Homes, who delivered the affordable housing scheme for regional housing provider.

The development won the award due to the high-quality design and construction, energy-efficient features, and positive impact on the local area.

The first Trent & Dove customers moved in, in January 2022 and the final set of keys were handed over in May 2023.

Steve McLoughlin, head of development at Trent & Dove said: “We’re delighted our Forest Heights development has won this award and we can’t thank the LABC enough for its recognition.

“Building the right homes for our local people and communities is what we do here at Trent & Dove and we’re very proud to let our customers know that they are living on an award-winning site.

“I’d also like to thank Peveril Homes, the developers – they were fantastic to work with, delivering the development to the highest possible standards. Lastly, good luck to all the finalists who are through to the exciting grand final.”
