Access Bookings directors advance with global MBA qualifications
In many UK workplaces, structured academic learning often slows down or even stops once the transition from education to full-time employment begins.
However, three directors at Lichfield-based travel management company Access Bookings are bucking this trend by pursuing a Global Executive MBA at Manchester and Oxford Brookes Universities.
Lee Gunn, James Austin, and Shona Riley are now past the halfway point of their 18-month accelerated Global MBA programme - Lee and James with Manchester University and Shona with Oxford Brookes.
During the course modules, they have been deepening their expertise in areas such as change management, digital transformation, leadership, and the navigation of complex business challenges.
James Austin, director of organisational development, said: “The world of business is evolving at a rapid pace, and as a global company, we want to stay ahead of innovation, change, and ongoing development.
“So far, the course has provided a blend of theory and practice, with a strong focus on teamwork and real-time case analysis.”
Lee Gunn, chief operating officer, adds: “Being part of a worldwide learning community has been invaluable. We’ve had the opportunity to collaborate, learn from diverse perspectives, and gain insights into how business is being done across different markets.”
Finance director Shona said: “Ongoing education keeps us adaptable, innovative, and ready to tackle the challenges of modern business.
“This MBA has been an incredible opportunity to expand my own knowledge and apply fresh insights directly to the workplace.”
