Burntwood-based Chase Terrace Academy’s careers expo is set to return after a six-year hiatus – with a special appearance from West Midlands High Sheriff Doug Wright.

More than 71 exhibitors have already booked free stands for the Employment Futures Expo, in which businesses can interact with students and parents about future career opportunities.

The previous expo in 2018 was attended by more than 2,000 people.

Mr Wright, who is the West Midlands High Sheriff for 2024-25, chairman of Kids’ Village charity and a McDonald’s franchisee, will be opening the event.

Julie Poppleton (pictured), director of careers at Chase Terrace and vice president of the Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce, said: “This is going to be a must attend event where you will be able to engage with a huge amount of students and parents and share your expertise and advice to support their future careers planning.”

Chase Terrace Academy is part of the John Taylor Multi Academy Trust.
