£3,360 raised during ‘pizza for a purpose’ event
Edgbaston-based property investor and developer Calthorpe Estates successfully raised £3,360 for local charity Edward’s Trust at their first 'pizza for a purpose' quiz night.
It was hosted at the recently-expanded Smoke and Ash restaurant in Edgbaston Village.
The event brought Calthorpe and the wider business community together for an evening of wood-fired pizzas, lively trivia, and shared purpose, all in support of Edward’s Trust, which offers emotional and practical support to bereaved parents, children and young people across the West Midlands.
Tom Foley, asset manager at Calthorpe Estates said: “We are thrilled to have hosted our first 'Pizza for a Purpose' event in support of Edward's Trust.
“The community’s generosity and enthusiasm were overwhelming, and the funds raised will make a real difference for bereaved families during their toughest times.”
Lucy Goodway, head of engagement at Edward’s Trust, said: “We are deeply grateful for Calthorpe Estates' incredible support.
“This event not only raised essential funds but also highlighted the importance of community and we’re looking forward to bringing more people together at our upcoming festive events including our Christmas Chinese Night at Chung Ying on Thursday 5 December.
“There’s also still time for people to register for our Christmas Jumper Day and we’d love to see as many people as possible donning their festive knits to support our mission – either in the office or at home!”
