Firms join forces after chance meeting at Chamber event
Physiotherapy clinic Urban Body and Dance Fitness Solihull have joined forces after a chance meeting at a virtual Chamber event.
The two firms will be recommending each others services to their respective clients, after Phil Evans, founder of Urban Body, was impressed by Emma 's mini pilates class hosted as part of a Solihull Chamber of Commerce virtual networking event.
Emma offers a range of health and fitness classes across the town, including pilates, a gentle but effective exercise designed to increase core strength, flexibility and mobility.
After meeting online, Phil and Emma discussed how their own services could be mutually beneficial to each other 's clients.
Phil explained: “It was great to meet Emma and understand more about her business. We are looking forward to collaborating in the New Year and recommending Emma's Pilates classes to our clients, to offer a holistic approach and aid their rehabilitation. Exciting times ahead.
“Emma came into the clinic and is now having regular physio and I have joined a pilates class (having never done pilates before) and found Emma has a very easy style, she demonstrates and explains clearly what to do so it's very easy to follow and even though it's online Emma checks that you're in the right positions.
“This has given us the confidence that we are recommending someone who not only has extensive knowledge and experience in the fitness industry but is also client focused. Being able to recommend our patients to try Emma's pilates classes gives us an extra string to our bow; while we'll provide rehabilitation exercises, pilates will help to improve mobility and flexibility and potentially speed up their recovery and help them achieve their goals. ”
Emma commented: “I'm really looking forward to working with Urban Body and offering clients a joint, intuitive approach to a healthy, pain free and active lifestyle, thank you to the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce for the introduction. ”
Urban Body has four therapists available offering pain treatment through physio and a range of rehabilitation programmes focused on individual patient requirements.
