As Director of Global Relations and Research at the University of Birmingham, Andréa has responsibility for leading the University’s global engagement agenda and diplomatic relations in key regions, including North America, with a focus on international research collaboration and reputation.

With over 25 years’ experience in education management at Aston, Southampton and Birmingham universities, Andréa has expertise across all aspects of the internationalisation agenda, including student recruitment, international student support, student mobility, international relations and strategic alliance management.

Andréa was a Queen’s Baton-Bearer for the B2022 Commonwealth Games in recognition of her services to global education and has an Executive MBA (distinction) from the University of Birmingham.
