This quarterly forum for GBCC members explores how businesses are tackling this subject and why: the tangible business benefits to doing so. Each event sees a panel of; a business case study, a professional advisor and a representative from the public or third sector sharing their insights and perspectives before a series of roundtable discussions.

Shah Begum, Outreach and Impacts Manager, United by 2022 Legacy Charity
Shah Begum is Head of Outreach and Social Value at United By 2022 Legacy Charity – the official legacy charity of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, and is a secondee from international law firm Gowling WLG (UK) LLP.
The Games was the first major sporting event to measure its social value return on investment. It brought together the private, public and third sector to form ground breaking new collaborations and delivered over £300m in social value.
Shah will share her expereince of this trailblazer work and the charity’s mission to embed social value within the West Midlands and make it an exemplar model for social value done well.
