Dan Harrison

Dan leads all areas of the GBCC’s media and news operations.

This includes the production of Chamberlink magazine and the Chamber’s various digital news bulletins, building relationships with the media and securing coverage in the broadcast and written press.

He joined the Chamber in 2016 from Aston Villa Football Club, where he spent eight years as a club journalist and, latterly, as editor of the award-winning Villa News & Record matchday programme.

Dan started his career with the Newsquest Midlands group of newspapers, covering news and sport for several print titles including the Stourbridge, Dudley and Halesowen News and the Bromsgrove and Redditch Advertisers.

Gary Phelps

Gary Phelps has been a leading media figure in the West Midlands for more than 30 years.

A multi award-winning journalist, he has edited nine newspapers, including the Tamworth Herald, Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer, Lichfield Mercury and Nuneaton News.

He now runs PR agency Gary Phelps Communications, with clients including industrial innovators Power Minerals Ltd, German energy giant STEAG and dozens of local schools including the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership.
Gary also worked with former West Midlands mayor Andy Street.
