Training course - is this course suitable for you?

Background: What is Global Sustainability?

The EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and its corresponding European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) lie at the centre of the EU’s Green Strategy. This regulation has extraterritorial reach, increasingly impacting non-EU companies trading with the bloc. Furthermore, much of EU regulation is being adopted by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) meaning that UK traders importing from or exporting to markets outside of the EU will also have to comply with increasingly stringent reporting standards.

To futureproof overseas competitiveness and revenues, it is imperative that UK traders, both corporate and SME, appraise themselves of existing and forthcoming regulation whilst understanding the changes they must make to their operations to ensure compliance and avoid penalties and disruption to trade.

Is it for me?

This course is suitable for all levels and all departments involved with international sales and marketing, procurement, and product development.

Attendees on this introductory course will learn about the core imperatives of sustainability regulation being implemented across the EU via the Commission and globally via the ISSB, namely: circularity, supply chains, decarbonisation, and greenwashing and their respective regulation and governance. It provides a detailed overview of the global regulatory framework, accompanying standards, and implementation timeframes whilst importantly giving practical advice and recommendations on how businesses can optimally prepare, even prosper through diversification and new opportunities.
