Training course - is this course suitable for you?

Background: What is EPR?

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a legislative measure initially introduced by the EU Commission to support a green transition aim of eliminating waste and pollution.

Similar legislation is being adopted globally, most recently in Canada, India, Singapore and across some states in the US.

The ERP regulation places the responsibility for end-of-life costs of products and their packaging (such as recycling and recovery) on the producer, whether they are a manufacturer, exporter, or another role.

The aim is not only to alleviate the financial burden on local institutions but also to encourage producers to design more sustainable products, thereby supporting the circular economy.

Similar to the US, the implementation of this legislation varies across EU Member States, making the regulatory landscape complex for UK exporters to navigate.

Is it for me?

This course is suitable for all levels and all departments involved with international sales and marketing, procurement, and product development.

This half-day course is a highly practical session helping delegates to fully understand their compliance obligations depending on their role in a supply chain, including what data they need to collect, how this data must be reported, the frequency of reporting, and importantly, thresholds and exemptions. This session looks at EPR regulation globally, providing a “How to” guide for all markets where the regulation exists.
